The Floor Less Bedroom

L.I. To use the model of ‘The Old Alley’ to write descriptively about a place.

The Floor less Bedroom

Creamy white walls secure solid wooden planks,
Solid wooden planks secure flaky white roofing from collapsing,
Clothes, blankets, old toys and papers,
Scattered across the dark grey carpet,
Flowing almost out the door.
Torn posters and crazily torn drawings,
Dangle from the walls,
Rocking to and fro in the bitter breeze.
A rusty old bent slab of wood,
I got told was a desk,
Holds up a ton of childhood memories,
Whilst another pile accumulates under the rotting wood.
A dusty old dream catcher,
Dangles over a bed covered in ruffled sheets,
Stained of age.

Looking back now,
I realized that's not me.
I sit there, my head pounding,
I never want to go back that mess,
I don't want to,
No one wants to.
I'm just a kid,
Saving my dare bed room.
