Colour Poem.

Green

Green is the moldy mildew,
dripping down the shower tiles.
Green is the four leaf clover,
leading you to luck.
Green is the exit sign,
guiding you to safety.
Green is the X, on an Xbox controller,
that brings fun and enjoyment all year round.
Green is the colour of flax pieces,
weaved together to form crazy, beautiful patterns.
Green is the outside,
of a sour green apple.
Green is the colour of the peas,
all huddled together in a pod.
Green is a fern,
sprouting out of the dark brown dirt.
Green is the forest scenery,
that we all frolic through on a warm, summers day.

The Floor Less Bedroom

L.I. To use the model of ‘The Old Alley’ to write descriptively about a place.

The Floor less Bedroom

Creamy white walls secure solid wooden planks,
Solid wooden planks secure flaky white roofing from collapsing,
Clothes, blankets, old toys and papers,
Scattered across the dark grey carpet,
Flowing almost out the door.
Torn posters and crazily torn drawings,
Dangle from the walls,
Rocking to and fro in the bitter breeze.
A rusty old bent slab of wood,
I got told was a desk,
Holds up a ton of childhood memories,
Whilst another pile accumulates under the rotting wood.
A dusty old dream catcher,
Dangles over a bed covered in ruffled sheets,
Stained of age.

Looking back now,
I realized that's not me.
I sit there, my head pounding,
I never want to go back that mess,
I don't want to,
No one wants to.
I'm just a kid,
Saving my dare bed room.

My Weekly Reflecto

Week Seven

This week on Tuesday the year sevens had their first taste at food tech for the year. We made banana milkshakes and they were awesome. We also had to share kitchens with our buddies. I was sharing a kitchen with my classmates Amy and Sophie.

This week we also had tech arts on Friday. This time we got to choose what we wanted to make out of mouse traps, jacket potato, baked apple, or pizza snacks. I made a jacket potato and man was it so good. Wait it wasn't good it was great! It had veg’s in it and melted gooey cheese on the top. Yum.

How the Marshmallow Turned Squishy

Once upon a long time ago, when no marshmallow was squishy, there lived a marshmallow called Maloney. Maloney couldn't jump or do acrobatics in cause to her staleness. She liked to keep fit by working out every day, and going for walks hoping she would find something for her adventures collection, she loved to go on adventures. She had a dog, Zyshie, which was crossed with a Chihuahua and a marshy. She had lots of muscle but no one believed her because the other marshes would say show us then but of course she couldn't because she was too stiff to lift her arms.

One day whilst she was out on her daily walk, she saw a big red and orange thing in the close distance, and of course being the adventurer she is, she went over to the “thing” to inspect it. She felt a lovely warm breeze. She then realized that this warm breeze was coming from this so called fire. Then all of a sudden Maloney’s best friend, Shibibalibob, ran past and tried to give her a high five, but instead he accidentally pushed Maloney into the fire. She didn't burn so she hopped out and found that she was melting. She let out a yell, "I am squishy."

Maloney found that she was being picked up by a human. She was getting less and less drippy from the human licking her. She then she got dropped on to the hard ground but it didn’t hurt because she was squishy, instead she just grabbed her dog and bounced. She had to get home to tell all her friends. The one person she didn't tell was her worst enemy, Piketcha, her sister so that she will always be stiff, well so she thought.

Now every year the new born marshes would be taken to go to a bonfire party and jump in. then they all let their new dog lick them clean from the dripping. After that everyone was happy and jumping around singing were all happy were all squishy were all bouncy and we love it. That is how marshmallows, like Maloney, turned squishy.

Ten Minutes Writing

The World of Mine Craft
The sun was shining,
as I was mining.
Another day of mine craft,
as I walk around this abandoned mine shaft.

As I mine some obsidian,

my stone picaxe decides to give in.
This is the way Stampy starts his day.
With IBallisticsquid,
I must , admit,
That in Stampys lovely world,
the days are quite different,
but Stampy thinks its efficient.

His breakfast is a cake from l for lee bear,

occasionally he will share.
He built a love garden in the game,
each day he adds a name.

Mine craft is his passion,

his passion is mine craft.
Most of all,
Stampy is his name.

My Weekly Refleto

Week Six

This week we did more swimming sports, some were championship and other weren't I swam in all the races I could because for each race you swam you got a point for your house. All the non-championship races that I did (which were all of them) were freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, doggy paddle and the walking race. Out of all those five events I came first in one of them which was (drum roll please)..........ping the walking race. So yeah I got three extra points for my house Puniu. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Thursday I have something on every block now. In the first block I have guitar for half an hour, then in the second block I have extension art then in the last block I have choir. Throughout my Thursday I have one and a half hours to do school work but it’s great because I love all those things!

Also today is my one month anniversary of having a blog wahoooooo.

My Weekly Reflecto

Week Five

This week we did sports on Friday and we all got put into different sports groups. I did minor games and we did long ball. Our team lost. On Monday I was away and then on Tuesday I went to the Waikato museum for my extension art programme and we all had to paint pictures. We were divided into groups A and  B. Group A got their photos taken and the museum guides faded it and gave them the portraits and the group A children had to use it as a guide line to paint them selves whilst the group B children did the same thing but with landscapes of grassy areas. I did a sun setting over mountains. There weren't many colours so we had to mix a lot of different colours to get the right shade.

My Weekly Reflecto

Week Four

This week we have been doing tests. Some of them are so boring and some I cant wait to do. My favorite type of test is probably basic facts. Even though I hardly get one hundred percent, I don't mind because I love maths. My least favorite test would have to of been the listening test. It is when you listen to a story and the answer the questions. It Is Boring!

My Weekly Reflecto

Week Three

This week we had swimming sports. I only swam in the medley. I had lots of fun but I eventually came last ): Everyone was cheering for me it was so awesome and I was happy doing what I love to do! My favorite stroke is freestyle because I am fast!

We have been doing writing every day and I have been practicing writing with my left hand because I think it would be awesome to be able to write with both hands. Right now it is very messy but I know it will get better.
